Counselling offers a space to be deeply heard — perhaps in a way you’ve never experienced before.

As a Person-Centred and trauma-informed therapist, I don’t come with a blueprint for how you should live your life. Instead, I offer a grounded, accepting space where you can begin to listen inwardly, soften self-judgement, and reconnect with your own knowing. I believe healing happens not through fixing, but through presence — and through a relationship where all of you is welcome.

Our sessions are a place to untangle what feels confusing, heavy, or stuck — whether it’s rooted in recent life events or long-standing patterns that no longer serve you. We’ll move at your pace, gently exploring what matters most to you. The journey may not always be easy, but it can be profoundly transformative — and you don’t have to make it alone.

What I bring to this work:

  • A deep understanding of the impact of early life experiences — especially complex trauma and boarding school survival

  • Many years of mindfulness and somatic practice, helping you reconnect with your body as a wise guide

  • An open, queer-informed lens that honours identity, relationship diversity, and the courage it takes to live authentically

  • Creative and integrative tools (drawing, embodiment, breath, psychoeducation) to meet the moment and support you holistically

I work with both adults and young people, including those in the threshold years of emerging adulthood (18–25) — a time of potent change, identity development, and self-discovery.

Clients come to me with a wide range of experiences, including:

Loss and bereavement; Relationship patterns and intimacy issues; Depression, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm;  Stress, burnout, and life transitions;  Sexuality and gender exploration;  Abuse and trauma (including Boarding School Syndrome); Disconnection from the body or self; A longing to feel more alive, more whole, more ‘at home’.index

In My Clients’ Words:

“It has been challenging along the way but I wanted to thank you for being alongside me and supporting me to find happiness again.”
Jo, Stroud (2015)

“Anxiety had taken over my life before I came for counselling. Speaking to you has really helped me find ways to deal with my fears — and for that I’m so grateful.”
Katy, Stroud (2016)

“I feel in a better place now. Talking about my past and how it affected me hasn’t always been easy, but it’s helped me understand myself better. Thank you!”
Gary, Cirencester (2014)

Whether you’re an adult seeking support for yourself or a parent looking for someone to support your teenager or young adult, you can expect to be met with care, compassion, and deep respect. I would be honoured to walk alongside you.
